KU Symphony Orchestra

The Department of Music and Dance in the School of Fine Arts presents a performance by the University of Kansas Symphony Orchestra on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lied Center. The orchestra will be conducted by David Neely, director of orchestral activities. The orchestra, comprised of more than 60 KU students, will perform Overture to Egmont, Op. 84 by Beethoven, I Cristantemi by Puccini, and Symphony No. 2 in D, Op. 43 by Sibelius. Stephanie Zelnick, KU assistant professor of clarinet, will perform Premire Rhapsodie for Clarinet Solo and Orchestra by Debussy. Tickets for the performance are $7 for adults/ $5 for students and seniors. Please call (785) 864.2787 for tickets.
