The Brent Berry Band returns to Lawrence to debut its newest CD, "Twenty Lives" due out in September. Berry cut his teeth in the Lawrence music scene circa 2000 with backing from members of local horn band The Secondhands. His debut album "Inland" offered up a seamless platter of roots reggae, rocksteady, and folk music. As entertainers for some of Lawrence's chillest parties, Berry and his "Roots Crew" became one of the top local draws before he split for Taos, New Mexico. Nowadays, Brent and his band lay down their own goodtime blend of Afro-Coastal-Americana-Grass.Opening will be the Taos band Daddy Claxton, an old-timey bluegrass outfit.
