Event details

With 14 years, 20+ band members and five DIY albums under his belt, Love As Laughter frontman Sam Jayne entered the studio with The Clash producer Joe Blaney to create an album that Modest Mouse's Isaac Brock calls "amazing." Bouncing from Talking Heads-ish funk ("All Parts of Me") to the slow, dazzling grooves of "Crosseyed Beautiful Youngunz," the group's Epic Records debut figures to be a breakthrough release for a deserving indie band with a lengthy track record on K Records and Sub Pop.Opener Oxford Collapse blends an '80s kind of Husker Du/Mission of Burma wall of sound with a pop sensibility a la The Embarrassment.
