The sale includes books that have been acquired by the collections efforts of KU Emeritus Professor James Gunn, director of the Center for the Study of Science Fiction, the libraries' duplicate holdings and those that do not meet collection development guidelines. The sale, which will offer an estimated 4,000 books, is open to the public on Wednesday and Thursday.
