Vic Chesnutt / Elf Power / Ghosty

Event details

Vic Chesnutt says that he "fucking sucked" in the film "Slingblade" as Terence, the wheelchair-bound songwriter who gets slammed into a door by a very drunk and disorderly Dwight Yoakam. The Athens native's modesty is admirable (he didn't suck) yet forgivable given the fact that he exudes much more confidence as a singer. Known for his distinctive crackling voice and bent lyrical sense, Chesnutt has released more than a dozen albums dating back to his 1990 debut "Little." His current tour-mates Elf Power backed him on his new album "Dark Developments," a mostly mellow collection of backporch folk-rock tunes. With supporting sets from Elf Power and Ghosty, tonight's triple-threat bill is not to be missed.
