The Relay For Life kickoff rally is an opportunity for all Lawrence residents to come together to kick off the Relay For Life of Lawrence and learn more about the event and how to get involved. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is an overnight community celebration where individuals and teams campout, eat, enjoy fun activities and performances, and take turns walking around a track relay style to raise funds to fight cancer. At nightfall, participants will light hundreds of luminaries around the track in a moving ceremony to honor cancer survivors as well as friends and family members lost to the disease.\For more information, call (800) 359-1025.
