Event details

Di Nigunim (Dee Nih-goo-nihm) literally translates from Yiddish as "The Wordless Melodies." It is also the name of roughly ten-piece musical group based out of San Diego that combines the sounds of traditional Eastern European klezmer music with speedy punk-rock. Some of the group's musicians recently sat in at a Gogol Bordello performance in Portland, making the obvious comparison a little more legit. Opener Blackbird Raun stirs up an equally frenzied pot with punk-folk numbers played with accordion, banjo, mandolin, saw, washboard and washtub bass.
