Langhorne Slim is a Brooklyn-based performer who sings spirited songs that resonate with great melodies and memorable lyrics. He's captivating enough with his high-pitched voice and acoustic guitar, but he goes the extra mile and shares the gas bills with upright bassist Paul Defiglia and drummer Victor Delorenzo (son of Violent Femmes drummer Victor Delorenzo). Slim's latest self-titled LP flirts with more involved instrumentation (keys, mallets, strings) while staying true to the simple charms of his previous releases.Opener Tiny Tuxedo is a rowdy band of locals who stir up a mighty fine hootenanny with acoustic guitar, upright bass, pump organ and drums.
