The panelists will share historical facts and first-lady anecdotes as they examine the roles of former and current first ladies and speculate on the role of the next first spouse. Jenny Sanford is the current first lady of South Carolina and former investment banker at Lazard Freres & Co. in New York. Carl Sferrazza Anthony is the author of ten books on the subject of first ladies, was a speechwriter for Nancy Reagan and historical consultant to the Smithsonian's Museum ofAmerican History to redefine an exhibit on first ladies. Paul Boller is professor emeritus of history at Texas Christian University and author of many books on presidential history.
