Two KU campus organizations will mark the sixth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 by co-sponsoring a panel discussion on Tuesday, September 11, in the KU Law School. This September 11 marks the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the U.S. On the 2007 calendar, September 11 is just days prior to military reports that will bear heavily on future U.S. strategy in Iraq. Fourteen months from this date U.S. political campaigns, already in full swing, will culminate in elections that will (for better or worse) determine the US role in the world in coming years, and perhaps more broadly the prospects for international peace and cooperation. How should we view these matters? How do others in our KU community view them? Phi Beta Delta (honor society for international scholarship & education) and the KU International Law Society have assembled a panel of faculty and students from various perspectives to take a prospective look at these issues and briefly present their individual viewpoints.
