The Lawrence Arts Center is proud to present the 2007 National Juried Ceramics Exhibition and Symposium. This event brings together eight national ceramic artists to Lawrence, Kansas for two days of presentations and demonstrations. Featured artists include Dan Anderson, Bob Archambeau, Brad Schwieger, Jane Shellenbarger, Janis Mars Wunderlich, Mark Burns, Michaelene Walsh,and John Balistreri. These artists and educators are leaders in their field, many of whom have fostered ceramic programs at their respective universities that are nationally recognized. All of these accomplished artists use clay in a variety of ways to create works that are excellent examples of the highest quality of contemporary ceramics.In conjunction with the symposium, the Lawrence Arts Center's gallery will present a national juried exhibit. There are approximately 80 pieces in this exhibit. This premiere contemporary ceramics exhibition encourages entries both sculptural and functional.
