Led by shrieking vocalist Yasuko Onuki, Melt Banana mixes the speed of hardcore and the cacophony of industrial music in short, spastic, atonal outbursts. Frentic and outlandish live performances are where the group wins many of its devotees, who seemingly enjoy the spectacle of Melt Banana as much as the music. Lawrence's own avant-garde hardcore experimentalist This Is My Condition (aka Craig Comstock) sets the stage.
