Note: date originally posted incorrectly as June 6.The Seattle band Spanish for 100's ambitious new release "Say What You Want to Say to Me" finds the Seattle quartet charting new territory, trading some of the Americana twang heard on their first two releases for a high-energy record that captures the band's artfully entwined guitars, sharp, punctuated phrasing, and singer/guitarist Corey Passons' distinctive vocals and surprising melodies.Openers The Republic Tigers from Kansas City pack an "Orange and Black Attack" of rhythmically intricate and exceedingly hummable pop songs adorned with synths, harmonies, drum programming and multiple guitarists and vocalists. Fronted by singer/songwriter Kenn Jankowski (formerly of The Golden Republic), the six-piece band is currently shopping a nine-song demo collection that sounds as slick as anything on the proper marketplace.Doors open at 9:00 p.m.
