Just like it happens in teeny bopper rock movies, the band Pompeii was offered a record contract on the spot after stepping off the stage from its South By Southwest Music Festival performance. The resulting album, "Assembly," earned the Austin, Texas, five piece comparisons to Death Cab for Cutie, Mogwai and Radiohead for its elegant, atmospheric soundscapes. Plus, they have a gal who plays cello.
