Lawrence/Kansas City band Minus Story pulled out all the punches for its fourth full-length "My Ion Truss," heading to Electrical Audio in Chicago to record with engineer John Congleton (also the frontman for The Paper Chase). The resulting collection captures the group's barbaric yawp in glorious hi-fi without sacrificing the raw energy of its live performances. Memorable hooks abound and singer Jordan Gieger has sharpened his delivery to become one of the most distinct voices in indie rock. If you haven't yet experienced these homeboys, clear your calendar for this classy double bill with Old Canes (featuring Chris Crisci of The Appleseed Cast).Listen to our podcast preview of the new album.
