Building on a growing tradition, the 6th annual Jazz Vespers features popular holiday music reinterpreted in the jazz idiom. Directed by Dan Gailey, KU Jazz Director, this year's program will feature the KU Jazz Ensemble I, Jazz Combo I and Jazz Ensemble II performing a variety of holiday works including Gailey's own transcription of Duke Ellington's arrangement of "Jingle Bells," as well as Gailey's transcriptions of arrangements of "Greensleeves" and "White Christmas."
