This year's Holiday Vespers will highlight excerpts from Gian Carlo Menotti's opera, Amahl and the Night Visitors, performed by the Symphony Orchestra and directed by Vera Volchansky, KU DMA candidate. Additionally, the KU choirs and symphony orchestra will perform other holiday favorites such as Franz Biebl's "Ave Maria", Mendelssohn's "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," John Leavitt's "Cantate!", excerpts from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, "White Christmas" by Irving Berlin, "Zum Gali," an Israeli folktune, and more.
