Two of Oklahoma's best acts visit Lawrence with support from local indie poppers Another Holiday. The Non is a versatile instrumental four-piece with oodles of spacey effects and occasional funked-up slap bass. Like Explosions in the Sky or Mono, the group dwells in seismic shifts in mood and high-energy guitar caterwauling. Singer/songwriter Ali Harter possesses a voice that could inspire a train engineer to take an impromptu layover. The OKC songstress favors ghostly acoustic numbers with old-time jazz inflections a la Eleni Mandell or Eric McKeown.
