On Theft of popsicle leads to police foot chase at Lawrence Dillons

If she is a runaway, then she needs help, not incarceration.

Can you believe that she is taken in this way, where real thieves- like what has gone on with the City Commission and the sports complex - go unpunished, even though the latest is that they have put up lights without proper documentation.

It goes to show you that when a person has power and money, they can get away with anything. But for the poorer person - the police act fast to chase her and charge her - for eating a popsicle!!!!

The juvenile will be returned from whence she came and the governing judiciary will determine her fate...period. Socioeconomic status is irrelevant. Which part of the process do you believe is flawed ? If you don't like it, your vote is your voice.

But rich or poor you shouldn't be stealing a Popsicle from a grocery store, right? I mean I have type that?

Yes she may need help, but that doesn't make stealing right.

I do hope they connect her with supportive resources.

Maybe she was just that hungry and broke and scared and didn't know what to do. I have sympathy for her and hope that all turns out all right. The whole story may be more complex than you could ever imagine.
