Sounds like a horrible accident. Curious though, was he ejected from the car or did the good samaritans that stopped help pull him from the wreckage as it was on fire? Would make for a great story to learn if there were people (heroes?) who risked their lives and saved this man from a burning vehicle.
It's not clear yet how the man got out of the car. We'll update as we get more details about this accident. Ian Cummings, LJW.
This gentleman is my friend's husband, and per the link she posted earlier this evening, Shane was pulled from his vehicle by 'Good Samaritan' who stopped to assist.
'Passing motorists pulled a seriously injured Ottawa man from the burning wreckage of his car early Wednesday morning just east of the Osage-Douglas County line, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office official said.'
At this time, he is in fair condition with multiple fractures.
Very nice to hear Keni, thanks for sharing. I kind of assumed that good samaritans helped save his life based on the Lieutenants description of the crash, but it was missing from the article. IMO, that is one of the "best" things about this story. The fact that some person/persons risked their own lives to save a complete stranger. Sure hope these folks get recognized for their heroic deed.
