On More older patients receiving stem-cell transplants at KU Cancer Center

SoundMind 4 years, 9 months ago

This is an encouraging story - I'm glad to hear KU is moving forward on older patients. My father was diagnosed in 2006 with AML and KU wouldn't perform a stem cell transplant on him in 2009 because of his age - he was 71 at the time. Thankfully, MDAnderson in Houston gladly accepted him. My dad had his transplant in January, 2010, and remains in remission.
