Don't count out the conservative Republicans in the Senate. They generally block anything Obama tries to do, including appointments to federal courts.

This is a class guy that can be supported from both sides of the isle. Congrats to an outstanding Lawrence High graduate! He won unanimous approval from the judiciary committee. Pretty sure there are some Republicans on that committee. ;)
This is a big deal. Be stunned if Senate GOP blocked him after a unanimous vote. Definitely sets him up as a possible Supreme Court nominee in the future.
