"House Speaker Ray Merrick responded by saying there is room for savings at state universities because their cash balances have grown significantly in recent years. "

What does Ray Merrick know about an institutions cash balances eyeing them from a distance?

Ray Merick has yet to prove himself an economic giant of our time like his pal Sam ALEC Brownback. Mismanaging tax dollars seem to be their areas of expertise..... eyeing from a distance.

LJW endorsed Brownback. Now it's time to eat your own dog food.

Joe: They cut my salary. We couldn't make the car payments, so we had to sell it. Now I walk to work. Maybe I'll be able to buy another car someday though, because I've at least been able to put a few bucks in the bank each month.

Ray: That makes you a cash cow. I think that they should cut your salary some more.

Joe: But then if utility bills go up and our house needs maintenance we might not be able to make the house payments.

Ray: That would be great, because then you could move to an apartment and you'd be able to build up your cash balance again.

Joe: But then they would just cut my salary again, claiming that I'm a cash cow.

Ray: There. Now you're beginning to understand Kansas House politics.

Ray Merrick acts as an agent of influence for the powerful political organization, ALEC.

You can learn more about it at this link.

I have always believed that elected officials should be free and independent thinkers and not beholden to powerful political organizations that work behind the scenes to promote an agenda designed to work against the interests of average Americans.

You expect more from a Kansan. We simply cannot continue to elect these kind of people and we cannot continue to be fooled by their rhetoric.
