Beta Theta Pi: A proud tradition of animal abuse for over a century. "Added decor" right up to the point it is abused and killed! Hopefully the DA will file charges and show that no fraternity, no matter how rich and powerful its alumni are, can escape justice.

Too bad we can't go back to Roman times and let the perpetrators duke it out with the lions. It may (probably not) teach them to have greater respect for animals.

The locals seem to forget there is an animal abuse case once a week by some local dirt ball.

OK so Beta International slapped their hands and told them to be good boys. What about the criminal investigation? Has that been swept under the rug???

I would love to see what "Billybob 1" would do in a situation in which he (or she?) was totally defenseless and at the mercy of "men" breaking his bones, carrying him upside down by his heels, shaking him violently, and pressing on his throat so that he could not breathe. Bullies always talk tough, but when they are victims, they are begging for mercy and their bodies are reacting in ways that they are ashamed of, but have no control over.
The "men" who abused the turkey for pleasure should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. And they should be required to take a course lin kindness to their fellow creatures.
It doesn't take any talent to beat up on helpless individuals and laugh at their pain and fear. It does take a cruel and deformed spirit. Karen Davis, United Poultry Concerns .

Exactly. You are making my point.

I don't think these guys are serious about fixing their image issue. I saw a person (can only assume they are a Beta Theta Pi member) wearing the T shirt from this event (previous year) after this whole thing went down. Any organization with half a clue would have made it clear to their members that drawing additional public scrutiny to the event after what occurred this year is NOT a good idea.
