".....................struck Whitebird in the head with a pot, bloodying him." Lucky for Whitebird that this was a pot and not a firearm. In lieu of this, his sentence was a pretty good deal.

So in 2 1/2 years we'll find out if incarceration rehabilitated him or had the opposite effect.

It is two 32 month sentences that run concurrently, meaning he serves them both at the same time. It's weird, I know. If the judge would've said 'consecutively' instead of 'concurrently' he would indeed have to serve 64 months.

Unless somebody poured it into his mouth against his will, he chose to drink.
