"prison, if possible"? Seriously? Lock 'em up. They have no respect for law and order in a civilized society.

Whether they go to prison or not is largely based on the sentencing guidelines passed by the Kansas Legislature. If they don't, you can thank your Republican legislators who use criminal sentences and probation as a mechanism to control prison population numbers and prison costs.

Oh, but remember that the budget is under stress because of Brownback's tax breaks, so don't expect any changes that you'd favor.

I can speak for ronnie and say he was raised right. the marcus home was bad and i don't know cody, but according to the hearing, he has had a bad home and up bringing. that doesn't excuse it, but it sure can explain some of it

i had over $6,000.00 worth of stuff stolen right after i moved to Lawrence about 29 years ago and my case was dropped as part of a plea bargain. the piece of trash was caught with some of my items, admitted to selling my firearms to 2 separate pawn shops and my case got dropped. WTH? some things just don't change. AMEN to concealed gun laws. you open my door in the middle of the night and i promise your next one will be to heaven. send this useless idiots to prison and relocate the snitch.

well i be... I think they got much need time considering their ages. Cody did get off easy though; maybe!! ronnie and marcus hopefully will learn something and start thinking seriously b4 acting; hopefully!! Hopefully if cody finishes high school if he gets off; 11th and 12th grade. all in all they are not that bad of kids, just some teenagers that have made some bad choices and having to pay for them. Don't drop the soap!!

Not that bad of kids? Really? They sound like pretty darn bad kids to me. Aggravated burglary and/or home invasions seem to rise above the level of "bad choices."

having this guy and chester brockman and the other bad seeds, that's one very messed up family indeed!
personally I think the DGSO/LPD should indeed practice profiling when it comes to them! the only way this sanders will go right is if he gets away from his family, away from lawrence, away from their other screwed up relatives down in louisiana or missippi or wherever the heck they are. otherwise, he'll just follow in his brother/cousin's footsteps.
