On Emerging winter wheat crop blankets Kansas fields

Comments

Ron Holzwarth 6 months, 1 week ago

I grew up in western Kansas, and on my father's side of the family, we have been wheat farmers since at least the 1700s, first in the German Principalities, then in Russia (1820s - 1917), and now in Kansas.

The winter wheat crop has emerged in the fall every single year since the 1700s, at least.

And now, in 2012, that fact is worthy of an Associated Press story.
