All power to him and his family. He has accomplished a lot, and he obviously has many friends here.

Surely someone in Lawrence has the kind of job he would be hoping for.

And - take a look at Well Commons, the blog about International Education Week, including the videos.

How many teachers have registered their classes with the BBC, and are NOW doing international work this week?

What is KU doing for International Education Week?

By the way, Tom Keegan, this is an excellently researched article that needs to be read by many people. Thanks!

That's a nice thought, but usually the only firms that are willing to go through the visa process with an international student are the huge ones - like Koch Industries, the Big 4 Accounting firms, etc.

On the bright side, career services at the KU School of Business is pretty great and those opportunities do exist for international students. Nevertheless, it's a struggle, because they have to complete against all of the other international students and those who don't require visas.

Generally, international students are faced with Wichita, Kansas City, or beyond to other states and bigger cities.

Go to Mexico, walk across the border and you will soon receive amnesty. Voila! Problem solved.

It's good that a couple of readers see the value if this young man returning to Kansas and even think to offer some suggestions which may be helpful. These issues can be quite complicated and even expensive. Some input is well thought out and shows intelligent reaction to the desires of this former student. Then, there's Solomon's response.

And, really. Who didn't think of this? +1, Solomon. Your only mistake was to post it in a honk-for-hemp town newspaper.

Sometimes it takes an outsider's view to make us see what we take for granted every day. Heck, I find out every time I drive to Missouri how much I take KDOT for granted!

Very interesting and well-written article. Certainly gives one a different perspective on being a Kansan.

All the very best to you and your family, Mr. Agofonov. I have the feeling you will succeed.
