I figure on being asleep (my bed, my house) by 10:00PM. Sometimes the fireworks/gunfire wakes me but I go right back to sleep. Hell, it takes me all summer to polish off a 12 pak. Be damned if I'm goin' out on amateur night!

Amateur night is right on. Tonight and St. Paddy's Day.

Oh, yes, you can, I have found them to be most willing to give someone a ride home. Turns girls night out onto a whole new level.

I agree. Then again this is a 'college town' and they expect most residents to fit the drunk stereotype. Fortunately, some of us got that out of our system before we turned 21.
I'll stick to playing COD and staying in.

And, I was so looking forward to seeing you. Have you ever had a car to car snowball fight?

Will be going out for dinner for my son's birthday (yes, he was born on New Year's Eve) but no drinking. After that I will be home and tucked in bed by midnight with a good book and a warm kitten (who will do her best to wiggle in between me and the book).

I'll walk 6 blocks to the bar. Home in time to catch Letterman's New Years eve deal which is usually good stuff.

Last year I went out and had way too much to drink. I decided to take a taxi home, which I'd never done before. On the way I really counted myself lucky when passing through a police checkpoint. Only problem was, in the morning I had to figure out what to do with the taxi I had parked in my garage.

Proud for having a sense of humor? Well, I guess I am.
You see, cheese, it was a joke. I didn't actually get drunk and didn't actually steal a taxi that I then drove home and parked in my garage. It is a play on the word "take" and when someone says they "take" a taxi.
Geez, conservatives are cranky these days.
