--- As part of a massive government bailout, U.S. taxpayers paid $12 billion to save auto parts maker Delphi Corporation. Out of that taxpayer money, three billionaires and their partners took in a profit of over $4 billion. One big winner, with a profit of over 4,000 percent, were the billionaires’ silent partners, Ann and Mitt Romney. The Romneys made at least $15 million, and as much as $115 million.

The Romney campaign refuses to tell us exactly how much they made from the bailout, nor reveal their 2009 taxes.

Today, GM still gets its parts from Delphi, shipped from the plants that the Romney hedge funds have moved to the People’s Republic of China.

He told the morons not to offer the pot of gold but they did so he took it. The IRS has no issue with Romneys taxes so why should we?

Shocking information but not surprising.
It makes average Americans look very naivete to consider that this is the status quo with these kind of people and a major driver toward "Supply side economic/trick down" money policy that rewards these people at great cost to the American people.

CNN fact check: Obama lied about the opt-Ed NYT piece about Romney and his Detroit statement. So for all the demos who claim Romney is a liar, we now know that both men are liars.

Bankruptcy and re-organization generally means 1) Re-Organization .... which leads to 2) Plant closures and/or outsourcing
Also, the bankruptcy judge could have ruled for the bankruptcy to be Chapter 13, which is liquidation. All assets sold and distributed to creditors
The actual debt relief received via bankruptcy is offset by huge legal and accounting fees. I was with a company that went thru and emerged from bankruptcy. When all was said and done, it would have been far better not to declare.

"On the key question of whether Mitt Romney recommended government help to 'go through bankruptcy,' Mitt Romney is wrong. In his op-ed, he only referenced post-bankruptcy loan guarantees:
"The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk.
"That’s A) not the same thing as a loan, and B) not helping them 'through bankruptcy.' Without bridge loans from the government, there was no private capital available at the time to get them through bankruptcy, and even those commies at The Economist agree there would have been some liquidation. Romney’s plan was, essentially, to let the car companies crash hard enough to kill off retiree benefits and decent-paying jobs, then let some private financiers, with government guarantees, waltz in and buy the bones on the cheap."

I'm going to talk with my local bankers, first and foremost.
Although, if you force me to pick one or the other, I'd choose a "community organizer" over a "corporate raider" most any day of the week. The community organizer is more likely to steer me towards local banks; the venture capitalist/raider will steer me towards China.

Yay, misinformation! We can all find links to support any statistics we want without giving any context to the value of the numbers. A limited poll from Rasmussen has very little bearing on how the election will turn out. As far as the EC is concerned I'm surprised 'The Examiner' believes Romney won Virginia from Obama.

I know, I've been reading your and SP's posts and think it's a fun way to post and argue. So what I said is still true - Romney is behind in every poll. It's okay, though - after four more years of Obama you'll be in an even better place and be in an even bigger tizzy and can start arguing over how terrible having a strong market and positive social steps have been. Just like the last four years it all because of an improving market and having more rights returned to the people.

BABBOY: Kansas used to have 7 votes and actually 8 at one time, but now only 6. Shows the irrevelence of the State in terms of national politics. It appears that the Electoral College may be the deciding factor in this election regardless of the popular vote outcome. In Kansas, really no one's vote really counts in the Presidental Election, Democrat votes are lost in the GOP landslide, and the same issue if you a a GOP voter, your vote is lost because of the same reason. This year, it appears that an individual's vote really counts only in the 7 or 8 swing states, the rest of the States are a foregone conclusion. If the old tenant of "One Individual, One Vote" really means something, the Electoral College concept is fraudulent. Two more equitable solutions would be (1) requiring the individual States to vote in the Electoral College by assigining votes based on proportionality or better yet (2) do away with the Electoral College and utilize the National Popular Vote to determine the winner.

in a poll it was found that after last night's debate that far more people were less likely to vote for Obama than for Mitt. Obama's bad behavior turned a lot of people off.
both he and jawbone joe biden acted like bullies while their administration supposedly is fighting bullying in the schools. hmmm.
