Nixon is responsible for the two things killing this country economically today... opening up China, and creating the EPA.
Those letters are very private, between two people in love. They should have never been released.
I found a box with all my letters to my wife from when she was in college in our dating years. GEEZ , who was that shmuck!! Wonder if she would notice if I burned 'em.
Cmon Babboy, you are just thinking about old Tricky Dick talking dirty to his wife.
I don't want to read anyone's love letters, unless they are addressed to me
Maybe. I had my moments with Nixon back in the day, but gradually came to admire some of his vision and courage, going to China for example. He may have been the last president we had with a true, strategic picture of the world as it is, not as we hope it might be someday. Too bad he inherited Viet Nam's war and had to drag his feet waiting for "honor."
As a kid growing up in Whittier, California in the 1940's, I've had enough of my hometown hero!
I would rather read Mojo Nixon's love letters
its_just_math: Still have your sexual fetish for the Prez. as your drivel attests. You, no doubt Tom from Linwood/Leavenworth County and no longer have Nancy to dump on! Thought maybe a change in the weather might cause a spring cleaning of you mind.
The most culpable presidents in the economic mess that this country finds itself are:
Reagan: Huge unfunded appropriations; ramping up the National Debt!
Bush 41: Continuation of Reagan, but tax increases, and unfinished mess in Iraq!
Bush 43: What should I say, 2 misguided wars, faulty tax cuts, mess-up of Clintons legacy!
Is their an 18 - letter gap? And if so, is it because LJW TOSsed them for violations?
I'm with Lynn731. The letters are private between a husband and wife and there should be no release. Is nothing sacred? Guess not.
I have the love letters my paternal grandparents sent to each other in the late '20s. My grandmother kept all of them and they came into my possession after she died in 1988. No one else wanted them but I knew they should be saved.
I've only read one but none of the others. It just seemed too personal and as if I was invading a private conversion.
well i be... sounds boring and why would i care about his love letters; really!!
