Yes I did. My mom is not dead.

Nope, she lives out of state. I am sending her a box of food and other goodies however, including a card with money in it. Is that good enough?

She lives in California, and probably had a better dinner than I could afford to give her. I did send her flowers though.

no, because she lives three hours away, and was happy with the e-card I sent her. I will see her in a couple of weeks at her eldest grandchild's graduation, and will give her a present then.
(and no, I was not taken out to dinner, either. I was a victim of late night prom festitivies

Mom just started living in a nursing home but I did visit her yesterday afternoon. It wasn't the best mom's day she or I have ever had but we try to stay positive.
