    I’ve already competed in a marathon and/or a triathlon.
    It was called “Life”.
I was also in another, shorter one called “Parenthood”.
    Local competitions included:
    “Southwest Kansas Marriage”,
    “Country Club North Scullery Trials”
    “Keeping Up with the Joneses”.
The latter was called off mid race, as the Joneses forfeited by moving off of the course.

With an Iron Man suit I might be able to survive the process.

Although my old knees won't take it any more, I have completed 2 marathons, about six 20-milers, dozens of half-marathons and more 10Ks than I can remember. My favorite distance was the half-marathon. My most memorable runs include a 10K where Bill Rogers ran, a 10K (Bolder Boulder) with Frank Shorter, and the Peachtree 10K in Atlanta.

I would do very well in a triathlon — except for the swimming and running. I used to run 5 miles, 3 times a week, but it sure hurt like ^&*%. Now, on the bike, I can roll off 100+ miles and get up and do it all over the next day.

Win or lose. Nothing like stretching yourself past yourself.
