The instructions on how to build a sculpture and a welding manual. I want to make sure that my piece of art is going to be functional enough to hold up to the rigors of having to stand up to functionality of it's purpose. I want to make sure the structural integrity of my piece will stand the test of use and time as I place it in the window to be seen…

I have read “Catcher in the Rye” as well. I tried the first time and did not like it and stopped half way through when he got beat up but then the second time I read it I got the point.

I am reading The Complete Works of OHenry. Many of the stories are a bit dull, others mind boggling, and some very interesting.

I am reading the (1)Emerald Realm and (2)Frontiers of Science, and (3)The World's Wild Shores. They are publications of the current cutting edge science of 1990 produced by National Geographic. They were printed right before the Exxon/Valdez oil spill. It was quite interesting that they have charted the progression of several deserts into other temperate and forested zones on the earth over a course of many years.

By the way, I just heard that a pop rock artist just left town and decided not to invest in the place including legal proceedings to stop the SLT over the Baker Wetlands. Maybe we could get Pearl Jam or PAW to come back and advocate media wise to promote the preservation of our wetlands and convince them it should not be developed over and that it will be a sinkhole in the future. Oh, well actually they can build bridges over much more sedimentary rivers and seas and oceans as the Baker Wetlands. I suppose it could be done. But I guess they will also build their trashy quickmarts, gas stations and such as well. Oh well, Uff da!
