Obama won the presidency on the heals of how devastating the Bush regime and the republicans were to this country and Romney lost the election because he had nothing to offer but a rejuvenation of the devastation. Through it all Obama has had a pretty impossible job overcoming the four years of billions of dollars the Republican smear and lie campaign of demonizing him has caused and the devastation of the country that the republicans inflicted. They continue their flavor of the day smear campaign and lies still thinking it will work and Obama is still in the White House. The pubs just haven't proven to be very good at math. The republicans haven't learned a thing. They think they can just stuff their failure down the American peoples throat and the people have no other choice. This couldn't be more evident in the secession comedy that has been laughingly crawling out of the "its our way or the highway" arrogance of the failed republican party. Here's a clue to the republicans. Its either your way or you get the highway. Thank god Obama is trying to keep the highways in good shape for you even if its against your own will. Enjoy the next four years because if you keep going down this highway your likely to get another four years on it after Obama

Poor Obama, he just inherited the worst economy in decades, left to him by.......Obama!
msezdsit 6 months ago
It is only wishful thinking on your part but he inherited a much better economy this round than in 2008. But go ahead say what ever you want and keep thinking that that makes it real.

Many Options
--- Killing Social Security Insurance Is Not An Option. http://www.dollarsandsense.org/archives/2010/0111orr.html
Yes President Obama and the Democrats have many more options in which to bring this economy around and completely forgetting about the alleged Fiscal Cliff.
First off Uncle Sam needs to employ as many workers as necessary to rehab our nations federal highways and bridges that are 70 years old.
Second the president should fill all the regulation enforcement vacancies that guard our food, pharmaceuticals, home loans and insurance industries. The IRS vacancies as well.
Then we do this: Robin Hood tax http://www.robinhoodtax.org
Next we do this: 10 easy ways to avoid a Fiscal Cliff http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/11/10-easy-ways-avoid-fiscal-cliff
Then we cut more from the Defense Budget in which the GOP just passed a budget that went $1.7 billion over budget request for pork barrel projects that the military does not want.
Then we relieve taxpayers of the responsibility for guaranteeing construction costs of nuke and coal fired plants. Additionally we relieve taxpayers of the responsibility as the insurance arm of nuke and coal fired plants.
Then cut corporate welfare across the board.
Now we have not only avoided the fiscal cliff and produced a strong economy we taxpayers now have enough tax dollars available to spend on ourselves. That which to cover the cost of Single Payer Medical Insurance for ALL of us.

Massive Unemployment
Tax Corp USA $75,000 for every USA job sent abroad each year that job stays abroad. Tax every leveraged buyout scheme another $75,000 per job sent abroad. INSTEAD of providing the tax code that protects the profits as a result of those USA industries and jobs sent abroad.

Congressional republicans has failed the majority of the USA population that being the 99%. The 99% has been the motor behind everything that had anything to do with the economy. Why did congress allow that to be nearly destroyed?
Why did congressional repubs provide a tax code that protects profits on USA goods made abroad in essence encouraging outsourcing of USA jobs by the millions. Congress needs to explain their logic that USA blue and white collars do not need jobs. and the USA economy.
Congressional republicans needs to explain their logic that the USA economy does not need millions upon millions of blue and white collars working in the USA. Where did these conclusions come from? Corporate America was never going broke instead making tons of profits.

How did blue and white collar workers lose these millions upon millions of jobs?
It’s not the Unions!
It’s Wall Street activity and monster GOP fraud that has killed jobs for millions Of Americans.
--- 1. Mergers = industry and jobs lost to other countries
--- 2. Hostile Takeovers = industry and jobs lost to other countries
--- 3. Leveraged Buyouts = industry and jobs lost to other countries
--- 4. Free Trade Agreements = industry and jobs lost to other countries
--- 5. Reagan/Bush Savings and Loan home loan scandal which killed the economy and cost the USA millions of jobs. = industry and jobs lost to other countries
--- 6. Bush/Cheney Home Loan scandal killed the economy and cost the USA millions of jobs = industry and jobs lost to other countries
--- 7. Bush tax cuts
All of above ultimately translate into millions upon millions upon millions of blue and white collar USA job losses in some cases to dictatorships. Big time layoffs are the end result. These jobs go abroad with tax codes that prevent taxation on profits made abroad from USA big name corporations.
There was a time when becoming employed by corporate America came with long term employment, fine wages and dependable retirement benefits. Those days are gone. Why did congressional repubs participate in killing the USA economy and millions upon millions of blue and white collar jobs?
The party of NO should resign immediately.

Well there's at least one policy Obama has continued and escalated from the Bush era which would be war mongering.
He weeps for dead children in the US all the while bombing innocent children in the mid-east because they are in the general area of where terrorist may or may not be. Hundreds of dead children on his hands and to him it's collateral damage.
The left won't acknowledge his war mongering and the right is all too eager to support it. He refuses to answer for the targeted assassination of a 16 year old US citizen. I don't think the federal government/Obama is in any position to lecture the US citizens on responsibly using deadly weapons.

I don't know about the particulars of the above, but I do know that George W. Bush & not Obama started this mid-east war that has killed & maimed thousands of our kids. All for what? - Oil & Money! Noboby has bought the hugest lie in history that Saddam had "weapons of mass destruction" based upon Bush's "claim" that there was proof from a "CIA operative in Africa" (who we now know was another outright lie to the American people). Out in California they have hundreds of crosses for kids Killed in Action with Bush's famous taunt "Bring 'em on" sign next to them. I honestly do not know how the man sleeps at night. Of course he wasn't the poor kid on the front line being shot at was he? Nevermind the $Trillions of dollars spent for this calamity. Couple that with ruining the nation's economy by looking the other way while Wall Street was outright robbing our economy of even more $Trillions of dollars - one war not needed (Iraq) + Wall Street = How many $Trillions of dollars stolen from our economy & for what? So Bush's big oil buddies & Wall Street buddies sucked the life out of our economy & made themselves filthy rich. All they did was rob from the poor & middle class & put the same money directly into the bank accounts of the already rich, & now Brownback is doing the exact same thing.
