Christy Marie McCormick, daughter of Mike and Mary McCormick of Lawrence, KS, and Brian Scott Imel, son of Dr. Terry and Marilyn Imel of Goodland, KS were married on December 7th, 2012 in Lawrence, KS. The Honorable Paula Martin officiated the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School and the University of Kansas and is an environmental scientist with the State of Kansas.
The groom is a graduate of Goodland High School and is a maintenance technician with ICL Performance Products.
Brian and Christy reside in Lawrence.

Sheryl Cherry and Kevin Johnson both of Lawrence united in marriage on December 31, 2012 at Ninth Street Baptist Church. The Reverend Dr. James D Jackson, brother of the groom officiated. The bride is the daughter Doris L Lewis of Raytown MO, and Booker T Cherry (Melody) of San Antonio TX. The groom is the son of the late Reverend Billie J and Ruby Johnson.
After a private ceremony of close family and friends, the couple celebrated their union in a lavish Old Hollywood Glam themed New Year’s Eve reception in downtown Lawrence. The couple will reside in Lawrence.

Dan and Teresa Rew of Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Danielle Rew, to Raj Sharmacharya, son of Bijon and Nupur Sharmacharya of Lenexa, Kansas.
The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Free State High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Kansas State University in 2008. She is employed by Dungan Design Group in Overland Park, Kansas.
The future groom is a 2004 graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School. He earned bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Economics from Kansas State University in 2009. He is self employed.
The couple plans a June 2013 wedding at Longview Mansion in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Whitley Jackson and Andrew Hulse, both of Kansas City, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Rock Jackson, of Topeka, and Cheryl Denton, of Lawrence. She is a 2007 graduate of Free State High School and earned Bachelor’s degrees in Biology, Spanish, and Gerontology from Kansas State University in 2012. She is currently pursuing an M.D. at the University Of Kansas School Of
Medicine.
The future groom is the son of Robert and Jamie Hulse, of Lawrence. He is a 2007 graduate of Lawrence High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Washburn University in 2012. He is currently working on his Master’s degree in Teaching from Pittsburg State University and is working in special education at Shawnee Mission West High School and as a baseball coach at Blue Valley High School.
The couple is planning a June 15, 2013 wedding at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City.

Philip Burnside of South Hutchinson and Barry and Bobbie Walthall of Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Lynn Burnside to Matthew Ryan Speer, son of Rick and Krista Speer of Overland Park, Kansas.
The future bride is a 2006 graduate of Z’s Cosmetology School and is currently studying for her real estate license.
The future groom is a 2009 graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is currently employed with Keller & Associates as a real estate appraiser.
The couple plans a July 27, 2013 wedding in Lawrence and will reside in Lawrence with their daughter, Rian Lynn.
