Carrie Elizabeth Swinford, Oklahoma City, and John Joseph Parker Jr., Lawrence, were married Sept. 3, 2011, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City, with the Rev. Dr. Randall Spindle officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John Jr. and Suzi Swinford, Oklahoma City.
The groom is the son of John and Nancy Parker, Lawrence.
Matron of honor was Bailey Coleman. Best man was Matthew Parker. Bridesmaids were Katie Morgan, Amanda Askew, Grayson Wallace and Kate Chiasson. Groomsmen were Daniel Parker, Christopher Parker, Robert Swinford and Mychael Mulhern. House party attendants were Lauren Ottaway, Kayli Maxwell and Lindsey Parke. Ushers were Michael McDonald, Tim Vacek, Colton Braud and Jacob Coleman.
A reception was given at Meinders Hall of Mirrors in the Oklahoma City Civic Center.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Casady High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Washington and Lee University in 2008, a juris doctorate from the University of Oklahoma Law School in 2011, and is employed with University National Bank in Lawrence.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Washington and Lee University in 2008, and is employed with Mainline Printing in Topeka.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Lori Marie Lemesany, Lawrence, and Kyle Marc Bartel, Hillsboro, were married Sept. 10, 2011, at Mary Lemesany’s farm in Lawrence, with Rod Barnes officiating.
The bride is the daughter of William Lemesany and Mary Lemesany, both of Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Doug and Pam Bartel, Hillsboro.
Matron of honor was Elissa Koelling. Maid of honor was Catrina Lemesany. Best man was Ryan Bartel. Bridesmaids were Bethany McBride, Erin Stemple and Kelsey Bartel. Groomsmen were Andrew Freeman, Brandon Emery, Graham Ratzlaff and Brandon Ratzlaff. Flower girl was Evelyn Bartel. Ringbearer was River Bartel. Guestbook and gift attendants were Jen Johnson and Amanda Emery. Ushers were Eric and Casey Bartel.
A reception followed at the farm.
The bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Kansas State University.
The groom is a graduate of Hillsboro High School and K-State.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Louise Michell Flory and Michael Ryan Brandt, New York City, formerly of Lawrence, were married Jan. 20, 2012, in New York City.
Both are graduates of Lawrence High School and Kansas University.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Donna Flory, and the groom is the son of John and Sally Brandt, all of Lawrence.
The couple reside in New York City.

David and Ann Newcomer, Salina, along with William and Wanda Seidel, announce the engagement of their children, Jenna Newcomer, Salina, and James Seidel, Topeka.
The future bride was homeschooled. She earned an undergraduate degree from Kansas Wesleyan University and is employed at Oasis International School in Ankara, Turkey.
The future groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned an undergraduate degree from Iowa State University, a graduate degree from Dordt College, and is employed at Cair Paravel Latin School in Topeka.
The couple plan a July 28, 2012, wedding at First Covenant Church in Salina.

The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Free State High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sport science in 2008 and a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2010, both from Kansas University. She is a registered nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit at KU Hospital.
The future groom is the son of Earl and Karen Glynn, Overland Park. He is a 2004 graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2009 and is a project engineer with Kissick Construction in Kansas City, Mo.
The couple plan a Sept. 29, 2012, wedding at Corpus Christi Church in Lawrence.

The future groom is the son of Albert and Leslie Merritt, Shawnee. He is a 2002 graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School, attended KU, and is employed in sales at MTM Recognition.

The future bride is a 1996 graduate of Fairfax High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from Baylor University in 2000 and is a campaign director with DDC Advocacy in Washington, D.C.
The future groom is a 1995 graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Kansas University in 2001 and will earn a master’s degree in public policy from George Mason University this May. He is a senior environmental policy advisor with the United States Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C.
The couple plan an Aug. 25, 2012, wedding in Alexandria.

The future bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from Emporia State University and is employed with Sysco Foods in Lenexa.
The future groom is the son of Feng Ming Lu, Shanghai, China, and the late Zhon Qi Yang. He graduated from Shanghai hospitality school and from the Shanghai Cooking School in accelerated studies. He is employed in culinary arts in the Kansas City area.
The couple plan a May 8, 2012, wedding in Pukalani Falls & Angels Beach in Hawaii.
