The couple plan a June 19, 2010, wedding at the Wise Family Farm in Linwood.
Gleeson and Shipley
Brad and Caron Shipley, Olathe, along with Mark Gleeson and Mary-Nell Gleeson, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children, Kate Shipley, Olathe, and Ben Gleeson, Lawrence.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Olathe South High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in journalism and international studies, from Kansas University in 2007, and is a second-year law student at KU School of Law.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from KU in 2006, and an associate degree in emergency medical services science from Johnson County Community College in 2007. He is a paramedic for Johnson County Med-Act.
The couple plan a June 19, 2010, wedding in Lawrence.
Berner and Newell
Terry and JoAnn Berner announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Berner, all of Lawrence, to Kyle Newell, Oskaloosa.
The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Free State High School. She is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist, and is employed by Snap Fitness of Basehor.
The future groom is the son of Ken Newell, Oskaloosa, and Susan Newell, Meriden. He is a 2002 graduate of Oskaloosa High School, and is a power lineman for Local 304.
The couple plan an Oct. 15, 2010, wedding at St. John Catholic Church in Lawrence.
Angela Miller, Great Bend, and Greggory Miller, Lawrence, were married March 13, 2010, at Danforth Chapel at Kansas University with Ellen Reid-Gold officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Opal Jones, Great Bend, and the late Merle Miller.
The groom is the son of David and Judi Miller, Lawrence.
Matron of honor was Tami Scheibach. Best man was Doug Squire. Readers were Donna Wharton, Jennifer Pesanelli and Tamera Murdock. Vocalist was Valerie Leake. Ushers were Jacob Wharton and Holdyn Halperin.
A reception was given at The Eldridge Hotel.
The bride earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees at KU and a doctorate at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is a research assistant professor in the Research Design & Analysis Unit of the Schiefelbusch LifeSpan Institute at KU.
The groom earned a bachelor’s degree at KU, and is an aerospace engineer at Kohlman Systems Research, Lawrence.
The couple reside in Lawrence.
