Lucy Campbell and Nathan Pelsma
Dennis and Kimberlie Pelsma, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their son, Nathan Pelsma, to Lucy Campbell, both of Boston.
The future bride is the daughter of Colin and Regina Campbell, Anson, Maine. She is a 1998 graduate of Carrabec High School in North Anson and a 2002 graduate of Wheaton College, Norton, Mass. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College in 2008. She is a sales associate for OFI Institutional Asset Management Company in Boston.
The future groom is a 1995 graduate of Lawrence High School and a 1999 graduate of Kansas University. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College in 2008. He is a consultant and adjunct professor at Boston College.
The couple plan a July 5, 2010, wedding at the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, R.I.

Beth Sheely and Josh Reynolds
Lynn and Tom Sheely, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Beth Sheely, to Josh Reynolds, both of Emporia.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Lawrence High School. She attended Kansas State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Washburn University in 2007. She is an emergency room nurse with Newman Regional Medical Center in Emporia.
The future groom is the son of Donna and Scott Reynolds, Abilene. He is a 2000 graduate of Abilene High School. He also attended Kansas State and earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Emporia State University in 2009. He is employed with the Emporia School District.
The couple plan a July 2, 2010, wedding at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Tyler Phillips and Marla Metsker
David and LuAnn Metsker announce the engagement of their daughter, Marla Metsker, all of Lawrence, to Tyler Phillips, Emporia.
The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Lawrence High School. She plans to complete a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Emporia State University in May.
The future groom is the son of Russell Phillips, Goddard, and Linda Cole, Lebanon, Tenn. He is a 2002 graduate of Hartford (Kan.) High School and is currently pursuing an associate degree in information technology from Johnson County Community College.
The couple plan a July 10, 2010, wedding at Washington Creek Church in Lawrence.
Anniversary

Dennis and Ethel Stevens
Dennis and Ethel Stevens, McLouth, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 14 at the Perry Community Building.
Dennis M. Stevens and Ethel M. Hay were married March 11, 1960, at Dennis’ mother house in Lawrence.
Dennis graduated from McLouth High School in 1956 and worked at the Lawrence Paper Company from 1956 to 1976. He then was employed at Packer Plastics from 1976 until he retired in 2002.
Ethel graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1960. She was a homemaker until her children entered school. She then was employed at Packer Plastics from 1973 until she retired in 2008 with 35 years of perfect attendance.
They have a son, Rodney, McLouth; two daughters, Penny Illig, Perry, and Denise Stevens, Lecompton; and three grandchildren. A son, Michael, died in 2007.
