Pritchard and Miller

Emily and Joshua Pritchard

Emily Miller, Lawrence, and Joshua Pritchard, Perry, were married Sept. 22, 2007, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Steve Kaviecki officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Janice Miller, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of John and Renae Pritchard, Perry.
Matron of honor was Caitlin Trent. Best man was Ricky VanMeter. Bridesmaids were Kathleen Vawter, Erin Wold, Julie Sackman, Heather Craver and Michelle Pritchard. Groomsmen were Todd Lohness, Mo Lamont, Daniel Bahnmeier, Joe Corcoran and Kyle Miller. Flower girls were Bridgette Johnson and Dillen Florence. Ring bearer was Ashton Wood. Candle lighters were Garrett Koehler and Brett Koehler. Reader was Shellie Bhinhar. Vocalist was Whitney Juneau. Trumpet player was Matt Kloepfer. Ushers were Larry Wingert, Troy Wingert, Matthew Wingert and Jake Pritchard. Guest book attendants were Valerie Edelman and Bailey Pritchard. Rose petal distributors were Haley Harris and Lynsey Harris. Gift attendant was Amy Hill. Bride's personal attendant was Lee Ann Dyess.
A reception and dance followed at the Knights of Columbus in Lawrence, and the attendants were Crystal Wood and April Boatwright.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence High School and a 2006 graduate of Washburn University. She is a physical therapist assistant at Therapy Works in Lawrence.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School. He attended Kansas University. He is employed with GS Management in Lawrence.
The couple reside in Eudora.

Sarah Stacy and Jay Kimmel

Sarah Stacy, Lawrence, and Jay Kimmel, Wichita, were married Sept. 13, 2008, at Botanica Wichita Gardens with Marsha Diggs officiating.
The bride earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science, Spanish and international studies with a minor in history from Kansas University in May 2007. She was a student intern for the Dole Institute of Politics in Lawrence. She is a senior researcher at the Center for International Policy Analysis at the Institute for Policy and Social Research at KU.
The groom is a graduate of Wichita Southeast High School. He earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics, political science and international studies from KU in December 2007. He is a foreign service officer for the U.S. Department of State and is assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Luanda, Angola.
The couple plan to move to Luanda in December.

Elizabeth and Nolan Haire

Elizabeth Mohr, Lawrence, and Nolan Haire, Herington, were married June 14, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Barb Clinger officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Rod and Susie Mohr, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Woodie and Terri Haire, Herington.
Maid of honor was Krystal Lind. Best man was Matt Wolff. Bridesmaids were Katherine Mohr, Veronica Mohr, Christina Mohr, Jenna Haire and Erica Viviano. Groomsmen were Lee Minton, Jeremy Stroda, Jordan Roberts, Mike Vernon and Jess Vahsholtz. Flower girl was Parker Weber. Ring bearer was Cameron Dillon. Candle lighters were Jordan Herpich and Taylor Herpich. Ushers were Nick Madl and Abe Lauseng. Program attendant was Melinda Markley. Guest book attendant was Becky Turner. Soloists were Katherine Mohr and Jess Vahsholtz.
A reception was given at Adams Alumni Center at Kansas University.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Free State High School. She earned a psychology degree from KU in 2007. She is studying for a master's degree in social welfare at KU and plans to graduate in May 2009.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Herington High School. He earned a psychology degree from KU in 2006. He is employed as an inside team specialist with Francis Sporting Goods in Lawrence.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Anniversary

Hall

Jerry and Norma Hall

Jerry and Norma Hall celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a poolside backyard barbecue hosted by their daughters.
The couple were married Aug. 20, 1958, at First Methodist Church in Lawrence. They met in their junior year at Lawrence High School.
In 1964, Jerry and Norma moved to Albuquerque, N.M. Jerry taught at Atrisco Elementary School for two years. He transferred to Madison Junior High School and taught physical education and coached football, track and wrestling for four years. In 1970, he taught physical education and coached football at Eldorado High School for 18 years. He also coached special teams, kickers and snappers for three years under Mike Sheppard at the University of New Mexico. Norma taught language arts at Madison Middle School for 14 years and finished her career teaching English at Eldorado High School. Jerry and Norma are retired and enjoy spending time with their family, traveling in their motor home, boating at Elephant Butte and playing games with their friends.
They have two daughters, Jody and Mike Atkinson, and Penny and Mark Krumback, all of Albuquerque, N.M.; and four grandchildren.
