Erika Kjorlie and John Geery, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Eric Kjorlie, Topeka, and Paula Kjorlie, Tubac, Ariz. She is a 1989 graduate of Topeka High School. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and photography with a minor in English from Washburn University in 2001. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. She is employed as a freelance photographer and artist.
The future groom is the son of Alan and Melinn Geery, Tecumseh. He is a 1989 graduate of Shawnee Heights High School, Topeka. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from Kansas University in 1995. He is self-employed.
The couple plan a June 7, 2008, wedding in Lawrence.

Terry and Sharon Gallagher announce the engagement of their daughter Erin Gallagher, all of Appleton, Wis., to Chris Bellinder, Lawrence. Chris is the son of David and Sonya Bellinder, Lawrence.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Xavier High School, Appleton, Wis., and a 2006 graduate of Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. She is employed with Sunset Hill Elementary School in Lawrence.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Free State High School and a 2006 graduate of Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. He is employed with ZLB Bioplasma in Lawrence.
The couple plan a July 18, 2008, wedding at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, Appleton, Wis.

The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Seaman High School in Topeka. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in sports and fitness management from Kansas University in 2006. She is an executive assistant for Mize, Houser & Company, P.A. in Topeka.
The future groom is a 2003 graduate of West Platte High School, Weston, Mo. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in sports and fitness management with a minor in business from KU in 2007. He is employed with Lawrence Parks and Recreation.

The future bride is the daughter of Jim Edgerton, Lawrence, and Peggy Edgerton, Eudora. She is a 2001 graduate of Free State High School and is employed with Vangent Inc.
The future groom is the son of Mike and Mary Higgins, Lawrence, and the late Tom Crum. He is a 1998 graduate of Lawrence High School and is employed with Montgomery Door Controls Inc.

Gary and Janis Pearson will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a summer vacation in Oklahoma and Texas.
Gary Pearson and Janis Hamm were married May 29, 1968, at Williamstown Assembly of God Church in Williamstown.
Gary graduated from Perry Rural High School. Gary has worked for Del Monte Pet Products for 30 years, in Lawrence. He is a warehouse operator.
Janis graduated from Perry Rural High School, Clark's Business College and Kaw Area Vo-Tech in Topeka. She is a nurse at Lawrence Orthopaedic Surgery, P.A., in Lawrence.
They have two children: Darin Pearson, Williamstown; and Daryl and Tori Pearson, Grain Valley, Mo.
They have one granddaughter.
The couple reside in Williamstown.

Anniversary

Schwartz

Don and Jane Schwartz will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception for family and friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 1 at the Worden United Methodist Church.
Don Schwartz and Jane Anderson were married on June 1, 1958, at the Clinton Presbyterian Church in Clinton.
Along with farming, Don was employed by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office for 37 years, retiring as undersheriff in 1998. Jane began her career teaching in a one-room schoolhouse and worked in education for many years. She retired in 1998. Don continues to farm and Jane is a homemaker. Both are active members of the Worden Church and enjoy gardening, ballgames, and school and community activities.
They have three children: Greg and Kelly Schwartz, Baldwin City; Carrie and Dale Enick, Baldwin City; and Scot Schwartz, Overland Park.
They have six grandchildren.
The couple reside on their farm near Baldwin City.
They request no gifts.

The bride is the daughter of Ken and Kerry Swinney, Fredonia.
The groom is the son of Justin Sr. and Lori Rexwinkle, South Coffeyville, Okla.
Maid of honor was Amanda Swinney. Best man was Aaron Rexwinkle. Bridesmaids were Renee Gillett, Malinda Linnebur, Candee Odell, Courtney Rexwinkle. Groomsmen were K.J. Rexwinkle, Jake Males, Yancey Johnson, Matt Nelson.
Flower girls were Jessica Clark and Emma Clark. Ring bearers were Anthony Clark and Max Cubbage. Candle lighters were Dylan Price and Faith Edens. Ushers were Matt Swinney, Nick Herpich and Philip Cranor.
Guest book and programs attendants were Kelsi Cubbage, Morgan Herpich, Lisa Testerman and Lindsey Testerman.
A reception followed at the Veterans of Foreign War Building in Fredonia.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Fredonia High School. She received an Associate of Science degree in nursing from Neosho County Community College, Chanute, in 2006. She is employed with Lawrence Memorial Hospital in the labor and delivery unit.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Oklahoma Union High School, South Coffeyville, Okla. He is majoring in sports management at Kansas University.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

The bride is the daughter of Mary Frances, Lawrence, and the late LeRoy Campbell.
The groom is the son of Dean and Wendy Alt, Hot Springs Village, Ark., and Susan and Harold Guenther, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Judy Schmitz. Best man was William Alt. Bridesmaid was Renee Christian. Junior bridesmaid was Emily Alt. Groomsmen were William Everheart and Johnny Christian. Flower girl was Hailey Alt. Ring bearer was Isaac Schmitz. Candle lighter was Caleb Crum. Guest book attendants were Julie Crum and Leigh Greene. Johnny Christian escorted the bride down the aisle. Gift table attendant was Sharey Thomas. Ushers were Brett Campbell, Josh Campbell and Ryan Edmonds. The string ensemble was Lawrence High School students Stephanie Drahozal, Whitney Perkins and Nicole Limones, violin; Brittany Venze, viola; and Anna Cook, cello. The bride is a cafeteria manager at Lawrence High School, and the groom is employed with the Lawrence school district.
