Gina Miner and Brandon Holloman

Dennis and Cory Miner, Naperville, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Gina Miner, Lawrence, to Brandon Holloman, Lawrence, son of Kenneth Holloman, Grantville, and Karen Day, Rogers, Minn.
The future bride graduated from Naperville North High School in 2000 and received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Washburn University in 2005.
She is employed as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
The future groom graduated from Derby High School in 1997 and received associate degrees in emergency medical science and fire administration from Johnson County Community College. He is employed as a paramedic for Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical.
The couple plan an Oct. 13, 2007, wedding at the Shangri La Caribe Resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Harlan and Kayla Altman

Kayla Huffman and Harlan Cribbs Altman IV were married Dec. 2, 2006, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Michael Mulvany officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Patsy Huffman, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Cribb Altman and Pam Altman, both of Dallas.
The maid of honor was Kasey Huffman. The best men were Chase Altman and Nick Gannon. Bridesmaids were Jessica Diffley, Angelica Williams, Brooke Lowe, Kelsey Cooper and Kathryn Holt. Groomsmen were Wade Carr, Michael Henderson, Daniel Dillard and Jake Williams.
The ring bearer was Jack Burkhead. The flower girl was Isabelle Foster. Readers were Megan Lewis and Pam Burkhead. Ushers were Ty Lewis, Beau Wysong and Matt Fisher.
A reception was given at the Eldridge Hotel.
Kayla graduated from Free State High School and received a Bachelor of Science in journalism from Kansas University. She is employed as event coordinator at Meeting Professionals International.
Harlan graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School and received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from KU. He is an associate with Grubb and Ellis.
The couple reside in Dallas.

Mickie Jenks and C.J. Johns were married March 24, 2007, at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Eudora, with the Rev. Lisa Gardner officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Janice McKenzie, Eudora.
The groom is the son of Kevin and Tammie Jones, Ottawa, and Les and Barb Johns, Minneapolis, Kan.
The maid of honor was Kim Taylor. The best man was Waylon Johns.
Bridesmaids were Brandie McKenzie and Nicole Parks. Groomsmen were Phil Crabtree and John Griffen.
Flower girls were Allison and Emily Taylor. The ring bearer was Tristan Smith.
A reception was given at Steve's Place in Lawrence.
Mickie is employed as a veterinary technician at Eudora Animal Hospital. C.J. is employed by Aspin Tree Service in Perry.
The couple reside in Perry.

Christina Marie Conyers and Daniel Lester Morris were married May 19, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence, with Tom Brady and Geoff Todd officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Carladyne Knox Conyers, Lawrence, and the late Al Conyers. The groom is the son of John and Cathy Morris, Kansas City, Kan.
The matron of honor was Olivia Trickey. The best man was John Morris Jr. Bridesmaids were Laura Johnson, Nikkie Rose, Jessica Wallis and Karen Morris. Groomsmen were John Morris III, Jason Morris, Michael Hagge and Craig Terry.
Ushers were Matt Todd, Eric Trickey and Jason McGovern. Candlelighters were Jessica Morris and Cassidy Morris. The flower girl was Kristen Morris.
A reception and dance were given at Steve's Place.
Christina completed certified medical assistant courses at Neosho County Community College and is employed at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Olathe. Dan is employed at Sam's Club in Lenexa.

Wanda and Don Westheffer

Don and Wanda Westheffer, Lawrence, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family trip to the Point Royale resort in Branson, Mo., and a private family dinner.
Don Westheffer and Wanda Rush were married June 28, 1947, in Lawrence.
Their children are Murl Westheffer Sr. and wife Carla, Lawrence, and the late Gary Westheffer.
They have three grandchildren.

The couple plan a Sept. 8, 2007, wedding at Community Life Church in McKinney, Texas.
