Jennifer is a 1999 graduate of Free State High School and is studying communication design at the Metropolitan State College of Denver. Marcel graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans in 1995 and attended Texas A&M University. He is employed at the Capital Grill.

Heather L. Epperly and Franklin W. Salb Jr. were married Sept. 23, 2006, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Michael Mulvany officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Wanda Epperly, Lawson, Mo. The groom is the son of Frank and Sally Salb, Lawrence.
The matron of honor was Emily Haines. The best man was Justin Salb. Bridesmaids were Renate Rea, Alisa Fiser and Erica Orf-Ostroski. Groomsmen were Chad Rea, Kurtis Wenger and Aaron Epperly.
The candlelighter was Ashley Bethell. Lectors were Carolyn Bethell and Reba Bennett. Cantor was Michelle Weaver. Ring bearer was Hunter Rea. Flower girls were Georgia Rea and Savannah Bethell. Ushers were Greg Dressman, Chad Rine and Lance Bethell.

Ed and Judy Bond, Lawrence, will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary with a weeklong trip to Tucson, Ariz.
Ed Bond and Judy Bookwalter were married Jan. 27, 1962, in Miami, Okla.
Ed is a retired electrician and has been a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers No. 226 for 43 years. Judy is a homemaker and was involved in the Lawrence Quilters Guild for many years. She also was active in little league baseball and Cub Scout activities.
Their children are Scott Bond and wife Lisa, Perry; and Brett Bond and wife Edith, Baldwin City.
They have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
