Anniversary

Kimberlin

John and Carolyn Kimberlin, Austin, Colo., celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary by spending a weekend in the Denver area.
John Kimberlin and Carolyn Snook were married March 11, 1967, at McLouth Methodist Church. They moved from McLouth to Colorado in 2002.
Their children are Cara Kimberlin, Lawrence; Denise and Mike Mestagh, rural McLouth; and Michael and Tenille Kimberlin, Meriden.
The couple also will renew their vows when their children visit Colorado this summer.
They have three grandchildren and another grandson on the way.

Anniversary

Silvers

Carl and Peggy Silvers, rural Lawrence, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. April 14 at the Lone Star Church of the Brethren, 883 E. 800 Road.
Carl Silvers and Peggy Caruthers were married April 14, 1957, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence.
Carl worked at the Lawrence Paper Co. and then in construction until he retired in 1987. Peggy worked as a secretary first at the Lawrence Paper Co. and then after raising her family worked for First Presbyterian Church until she retired in 1988.
Their children are Cathy Silvers, Peabody; Steven Silvers, Lawrence; and Bradley Silvers and family, Topeka. They have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.

Howard

Benita L. Jackson and Julian J. Howard were married on March 26, 2007, in Lawrence, with Judge Jack Murphy officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Travis and Angelita Jackson, Kansas City, Kan. The groom is the son of Benny and Joyce Howard, Ringgold, La.
The maid of honor was Julia Fletcher. The best man was Stephen Fletcher.
A reception was given at the Community Building in Lawrence.
The couple graduated from Washington High School in Kansas City, Kan.
Benita attended Kansas State University and graduated from Neosho County Community College. She is employed as a biomedical technician at ZLB Plasma Services in Lawrence. Julian is owner of JB 5 Star Cleaning Services.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Isernhagen

Beth Karpowitz and Tim Isernhagen were married on Dec. 28, 2006, at the Nauvoo Illinois Latter-day Saints Temple, with Fred Shephard officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Diane Karpowitz, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Doug and Pam Isernhagen, Phillipsburg.
The bridesmaids were Laura Harrington, Wendy Stalcup and Jenni Hall. Groomsmen were Philip Isernhagen and Chris Innes.
A reception was given on Dec. 29 in the Kansas Union at Kansas University.
Beth graduated from Lawrence High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in English teaching degree from Brigham Young University in 2006. She is employed as a substitute teacher in the Lawrence school district.
Tim graduated from Phillipsburg High School and is pursuing degrees in mechanical engineering and business at Kansas University. He will be employed as a reservoir engineer for ExxonMobil in Houston beginning in June.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Jessica Hatfield and Joshua Gurney were married on July 22, 2006, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Barb Clinger officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Linette Reves, Lecompton. The groom is the son of Gary and Pam Gurney, Lawrence.
The maid of honor was Jenna Hatfield. The groom's attendant was Kristin Gurney.
Ushers were Eric Leuthold, Erik Hatfield and Taylor Hatfield. The guest book attendant was Nicole Bulger. Cake cutters were Haylee Potter and Nicole Bulger.
A reception was given at the Eagles Lodge in Lawrence.
Jessica graduated from Lawrence High School in 2002. She is pursuing a degree in finance from Kansas University.
Joshua graduated from Free State High School in 2001. He is employed as a financial services manager at Jay Wolfe Saturn of Kansas City Auto Dealerships Inc.

Jennifer graduated from Free State High School in 1999. She is pursuing a business degree at Baker University and is employed as the senior coordinator of member solutions at the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America in Lawrence.
Daniel graduated from Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, Mo., in 2000. He received a degree in geography with a minor in atmospheric science from Kansas University in 2005. He is employed as a GIS analyst at AMEC Earth and Environmental in Topeka.

Kayla Beth Ehling and Joel Matthew Kesinger were married on Feb. 3. 2007, at Osborne Chapel, Baker University, with Judge Jack Murphy officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Lori Ehling, Pittsburg. The groom is the son of Kent and Jane Kesinger, Baldwin City.
The maid of honor was Becky Bentley. The best man was Jake Pittenger. The bridesmaid was Monica Walker. The groomsman was Kyle Heinrich.
Ushers were Jason Kesinger, Micah Ehling and Lucas Ehling. The flower girl was Katelyn Ormsby.
A reception was given at Steve's Place in Lawrence.
Kayla graduated from Frontenac High School in 1998 and earned an associate's degree in applied science from Colby Community College in 2001. She is a registered veterinary technician at Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital.
Joel graduated from Baldwin High School in 2000 and attended Fort Scott Community College. He is warehouse manager at IDI Distributors Inc. in Lenexa.
The couple reside in Baldwin City.

Michael graduated from O'Hara High School in Kansas City, Mo. He received a Bachelor of Science in biological studies from Benedictine College in Atchison, and a Master of Science in biological science at Emporia State University.
