Sheryl Tirol and Jeremy Goodwin were married Sept. 17, 2005, at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Schaumburg, Ill., with the Rev. William Tkachuk officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Rey and Diana Tirol, Hoffman Estates, Ill. The groom is the son of Wesley Goodwin, Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Leona Ober, Dexter, Mo.

Maid of honor was Lora Trance. Best man was Rob Caudel. Bridesmaids were Karen Czech, Brandy Kisa Fox, Arlynn Galang, Kristina Jiminez and Desiree Jara. Groomsmen were Evan Kelso, Anthony Mann, Richard Smith, Bradley Tirol and Brian Tirol. Aesha Lee Falcon was flower girl. Joseph Achacoso was ring bearer. Daniel Tirol, Edsel Tirol and Dennis Tirol were ushers

The bride is a graduate of Hoffman Estates High School in Hoffman Estates, Ill. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia College in Chicago. She is employed with the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department as communications coordinator.

The groom is a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School, Poplar Bluff, Mo. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in atmospheric science from the University of Missouri. He is employed with WIBW-TV in Topeka as the chief meteorologist.

The couple reside in Topeka.

Meg Givens and Paul Sage were married June 4, 2005, at Ecumenical Christian Ministries in Lawrence with the Rev. Thad Holcomb officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Sue Givens, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Richard Dean and Martha Sage, Perry.

Maid of honor was Marjory Givens. Bridesmaids were Barbara Heeb, Beth Porter and Caitlin Boley. Groomsmen were David Penrod, Ben Washee, Brook Binns and Brian Kirby.

Flower girls were Rachel Heeb and Clare Porter. Ring bearers were Cameron Porter and Harrison Heeb. Ushers were Jon Heeb, Jack Porter and Trey Sato. Guest book attendant was Deana Sage.

A reception was given at the church.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Smith College. She is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in counseling psychology from Kansas University where she is a research assistant.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School. He is a quality control specialist at Martin Logan Ltd. in Lawrence.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Hilary Elizabeth Smith and Charles Robert Groninger, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of David Smith, Holton, and Corinne Zimmers, Lawrence. She is a 1998 graduate of Holton High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas University in 2003. She is an account service representative with Security Benefit.

The future groom is the son of Tom Groninger, Lawrence, and Michelle Lawhorn, Eudora. He is a 2000 graduate of Eudora High School. He served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. and is in the process of becoming a U.S. Marshal.

The couple plan a Jan. 10, 2006, wedding in the Cayman Islands.

Laura Barnes, Tonganoxie, and H. Steven Moore, Welch, Okla., announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Terry and Mary Ellen Barnes, Tonganoxie. She is a 2004 graduate of Christian Liberty Academy. She attends Johnson County Community College where she is pursuing a degree in elementary education.

The future groom is the son of George Moore and Mary Ellen Moore, both of Welch, Okla. He is a 2001 graduate of Welch High School, Welch, Okla. He attends Haskell Indian Nations University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in business management with a minor in physical education. He is a baseball coach at Haskell, where he played football.

The couple plan a Jan. 14, 2006, wedding at Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church in Lawrence.

The bride is the daughter of Randy and Marilyn Kahn, Lawrence. The groom is the son of George and Carleen Currier, Sedgwick.

Maids of honor were Kristen Longanecker and Megan Longanecker. Best man was Chad Currier. Bridesmaids were Kelsi Currier, Allison Swaim, Laura Nelson, Lissa Sulton and Meghan Slattery. Groomsmen were Spencer Petersen, Preston Petersen, Charlie Hoag, Kevin Kufeldt, Barry Goodrich and David Jack. Junior bridesmaids were Megan Workman and Madison Workman. Ushers were Ryan Ash, John Leever, Tyler Kahn and Dakota Kahn. Payton Cohoon and Truman Juelsgaard were ring bearers, and Addie Brown was flower girl.

A dinner and dance reception was given at Mildale Farm.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Kansas University in 2003 and a Master of Arts degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2005.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Sedgwick High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in organismal biology from KU in 2001. He received a doctorate in medicine from KU. He is completing his residency in radiology.

The couple reside in Knoxville, Tenn.

The bride is the daughter of Tina Rodick, Wichita, and Dennis Rodick, Detroit. The groom is the son of Josef and Lina Bracha, Tel Aviv, Israel.

Bridesmaids were Ashleigh Klingman and Marlyse Anderson. Groomsmen were Bryan Rodick and Beni Bracha. Ushers were Beau Cloutier and Omri Shafran.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Maize High School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism from Kansas University in 2004. She is a copy editor at the Lawrence Journal-World and a teller at Intrust Bank.

The groom is a 1994 graduate of Rophenberg High School in Ramat-Hasharon, Israel. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering in 2002 and master's degree in economics in 2005 from KU, where he is pursuing a doctorate in finance. He is a graduate teaching assistant for the finance department at KU.

The couple reside in Lawrence.
