NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission for the City of De Soto, Kansas, will hold a public meeting to consider an amendment to Articles 5 Supplementary District Regulations and Article 10 Special Use Permits of the Zoning Regulations pertaining to the installation and use of solar and wind energy conversion systems. Said public meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on November 24, 2009, at City Hall, 32905 West 84th Street, De Soto, Kansas.
The above amendment will be discussed and considered by the Planning Commission, and all persons interested in said matter will have an opportunity to be heard at this time concerning their views and concerns. The property to which the application applies is described as two tracts of land located in the NE ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 24, Township 12, Range 21, Johnson County, Kansas. Said tracts are generally known as the Widow Big Knife Park and are located approximately 1/4 mile north of 79th & Edgerton Road at 7540 & 7560 Edgerton Road.

Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission for the City of De Soto, Kansas, will consider recommending that the City Governing Body rezone the properties listed below, and amend the Official Zoning Map.
