Douglas County, KS will
hold a public hearing on
Wednesday, May 15th, 2013
at 4:00pm in the Douglas
County Court House, second floor, at 1100 Massachusetts, Lawrence, KS
66044, for the purpose of
evaluating the performance
of Grant No. 11-IN-R02
which was for the construction of a warehouse
and printing facility at the
Farmer's Turnpike west of
the Lecompton interchange. CDBG funds were
used for the construction of
an access road and a fire
suppression water reservoir. A total of 63 jobs were
created, of which 51% employed low-to-moderate income citizens. All proposed
activities were accomplished. This grant was
funded, all or in part, from
the Kansas Department of
Commerce, Small Cities
Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
All aspects of the grant will
be discussed and oral and
written comments will be
recorded and become part
of the Douglas County
CDBG Citizen Participation
