ORDINANCE 1004

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING
CERTAIN LANDS TO THE
CITY OF EUDORA, KANSAS,
IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF K.S.A.
12-520(a)(7), AND ALL
AMENDMENTS THERETO.

WHEREAS, by receipt of a
petition under K.S.A.
12-520(a)(7), the Governing
Body of the City of Eudora,
Kansas, has been requested to annex the property described on Exhibit A,
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, into the City of Eudora, Kansas.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY
OF EUDORA, KANSAS:

SECTION I
. That pursuant
to K.S.A. 12-520(a)(7), the
Governing Body of the City
of Eudora, Kansas, deems it
advisable to annex the land
described on Exhibit A , attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference,
and said land is hereby annexed and made a part of
the City of Eudora, Kansas.

SECTION II . That the City
Clerk shall file a certified
copy of this Ordinance with
the County Clerk, the Register of Deeds, the County
Election Commissioner of
Douglas County, Kansas,
and Rural Water District No.
4.

SECTION III. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after
its adoption and publication as provided by law.

PASSED AND APPROVED by
the Governing Body of the
City of Eudora, Kansas,
with not less than
two-thirds (2/3) of the
members elect voting in favor thereof, on this 11th
day of February, 2013.

A tract of land located in
the East Half of the NW of
Section 17, Township 13
South, Range 21 East of the
6th P.M., in Douglas County,
Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at a point
on the South line of public
road running East and West
on the North line of Section
17, 415 feet West of the
North-South center section
line of Section 17; thence
West 200 feet parallel to
said North Section line;
thence South 430 feet parallel to said North-South
center section line; thence
West 300 feet parallel to
said North section line;
thence 370 feet parallel to
said North-South center
section line; thence Easterly 500 feet parallel to said
North section line; thence
800 feet parallel to said
North-South center section
line to the point of beginning; in Douglas County,
Kansas.

Also known as plate number 200327A02 with the
Douglas County Register of
Deeds office. Final description subject to platting
process.
