Jefferson County 911 Communications is now accepting applications for the position of 911 Dispatcher. The position description includes, but is not limited to, the
handling of emergency and non-emergency law enforcement, medical and fire situations for all of Jefferson County, the cities in Jefferson County and some areas in the surrounding counties. Multitasking, Radio Use, Good Telephone Skills, Map reading ability, Data entry, record keeping, typing, and light cleaning are just a very few of the skills/ duties performed by 911 Dispatchers. Applicants must have a high school diploma or the equivalent; submit to a drug test and occupational performance, as required by Jefferson County. All training for this position will be provided. Applications are available to be picked up at the Jefferson County Courthouse, Clerk's Office, First Floor, Oskaloosa, Kansas. Applicants should be mailed to
