ARCHITECT/ENGINEER
Kansas Dept. of Social and Rehabilitation Services has an ARCHITECT/ ENGINEER POSITION that is responsible for managing the capital improvements and planning for the state institutions located throughout the state. The position is responsible for coordination and planning of construction and renovation projects, capital building budgets, long range capital improvement plans, and being a liaison between institutions & external agencies.
The successful candidate must possess five years of professional experience; communication and leadership skills; personnel management and budgeting experience. Experience and knowledge of computer applications (AutoCAD) is required. Minimum education requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering (architectural or mechanical), or other related degrees. Minimum of five years experience as a project manger of an architectural firm is desired. Current professional registration as an architect or engineer in the State of Kansas is required.
